I received an email last week from LinkedIn granting me access to its publishing platform. Instead of jumping in to publish a purely promotional post, I spent several days contemplating how to use the platform to cross promote with other LinkedIn members while sharing my experiences with using LinkedIn. LinkedIn Will Be At The Forefront Of Senate Races Across The US
I spent last weekend reconnecting with my LinkedIn connections by inviting them to follow my LinkedIn Company Page in exchange for promoting their Page. The response was very impressive. Connections that I hadn’t heard from with in years as well as those I recently connected with responded to my request.
One of the people who personally reached out to me was TN Senatorial candidate Brenda Lenard. My profile headline caught her eye, “Join 2014 One Million Woman Link Up – Tap Into LinkedIn’s Community Of 130 Million Biz Women“.
After speaking with Brenda about her campaign and learning that helping small business women in TN thrive was important to her, my creativity was sparked. LinkedIn is the perfect professional platform for Senatorial candidates to raise awareness about their campaigns.
